Anchoring/Reporting dresses you need in your closet
Here are some dresses I recently bought for reporting and anchoring in, all under $30!
They’re all so comfy and great quality. The blue and white one are cotton, which is super breathable for hot summer days in the field!
All are from NY&C and can be found below!
Products you NEED as a journalist
I’ve quickly realized a fanny pack is the best thing to have at work.
You can keep all your necessities close to you. I carry lip gloss/chapstick, extra batteries, lav mic, an extra hair tie (for windy days), and business cards!
I need to be better at staying hydrated throughout the day. Usually, I don’t because I fear a gas station bathroom (you get the struggle newsies). A big tumblr is essential for ice-cold water or hot coffee.
A phone lav is a lifesaver and pretty inexpensive to stay with you for emergencies.
Last, but not least, a phone tripod. It’s now essential for my live shots. I can be hands-free and have the stand right underneath me for reading. I talk with my hands so it’s more natural for me to not hold anything.
Click on the necessities below.
Summer anchor dresses under $50
Here are affordable dresses I recently bought or found under $50 (most even under $25)!
Amazon has always been my go-to but I needed some new, better quality dresses.
Weekend trip in Nashville, TN
– Weekend in Nashville with girls from High School –
Here are pictures from the girl’s trip to Nashville.
Working and living in Huntsville, Nashville is just 2 hours away. I hadn’t seen my high school best friends in 6 months and they took the trip down south from Jersey!
We had the BEST time. I’m so grateful they made the trip. It was so nice to catch up and reconnect. It can be hard living so far but grateful we were able to see each other for a few days.
